Facial Enhancing Acupuncture
A natural, safe alternative to Botox and cosmetic procedures
Our inner health and well-being often show on our faces. As a result, psychological, emotional and physical issues may, over time, show up in the form of lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone.
Facial acupuncture is a safe, natural way to lift and enhance the face. People are turning to this as a natural and viable alternative to invasive procedures such as Botox and fillers, chemical peels , Skin Boosters and other forms of cosmetic surgery.
If you’re looking for a powerful anti-aging treatment that covers not only lines , wrinkles and sagging, but also improves over all skin tone and health, with minimal side effects, then facial acupuncture may be the perfect solution for you.
How does facial acupuncture work?
As we grow older the skins natural healing and repairing processes block up and slow down. Facial acupuncture aims to help alleviate this, by stimulating the skins own natural protecting and restoring processes.
Facial acupuncture works by
- Plumping the skin by increasing collagen production
- Lifting and firming the face by tightening the muscles of the face and neck
- Plumping out fine lines and wrinkles by increasing cell production and renewal
- Improving lymphatic drainage and detoxing of the skin and face by increasing blood circulation. This removes any stagnation by supplying fresh blood and nutrients to the face
- Improving skin conditions such as acne by regulating hormones and relieving stress related skin problems. This results in a clearer and more radiant complexion
** The effects of Facial Acupuncture Rejuvenation are cumulative and last up to 3- 4 years after a course of treatments, with maintenance.
We ask that you remove all makeup before the session, as the skin needs to be make up free and clean.
During the treatment, extremely fine, highly specialised facial needles are inserted into the surface of the facial skin. These stimulate specific acupuncture points on the face, head, and body. They only go into a depth of a few milometers. The patient may occasionally feel a little discomfort when a needle is inserted into any areas of tension, but usually, it is pain-free.
Patients should be aware that occasionally a little bruising may occur, as a result of the treatment. This is however very un-common and will only last a few days. Arnica cream can be applied if this does happen. It can assist in promoting the healing of the bruise, helping it fade away more quickly.
Each treatment is tailored to the patient’s individual needs.
There are two methods of treatment available:
1. Holistic Facial Acupuncture
This holistic natural treatment that aims to restore the health of the skin and help improve the overall appearance of the skin; leaving it radiant, and refreshed, as well as assisting with any particular issues. This also supports the patient’s general wellbeing.
Each treatment consists of:
- Consultation
- An acupuncture treatment. This is given alongside the facial to balance the body itself
- The facial treatment itself
- The session takes roughly and hour and a half
Patients typically notice changes and improvement gradually over a period. This is why a course of treatments is usually recommended, to get the full benefit of the process. You can, however, pay per session as you go.
2. Facial Enhancement Acupuncture
Carried out using the FACIALENHANCE® Micro Needle Therapy (MNT) treatment protocol.
This is a specific enhancing treatment. Fine inter dermal needles are inserted in addition to the fine needles used on the face, ears (as with holistic facial). These are typically inserted into the lines and wrinkles. E.g., frown lines on the forehead, crow’s feet, around the corners of the mouth and eyebrow area.
Each treatment consists of:
- Consultation
- Cleansing treatment
- The facial treatment itself – concentrating on muscles
- Massage with special serum and after treatment cream
- The session takes roughly and hour and a half
To get the full benefit of this treatment a course of 8-10 sessions is generally required. You may pay per session as you go or book one of our block packages at a reduced rates, saving money per session.
